I joined the company as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and have worked my way up through every level from Project QS to Commercial Manager. It has been a climb fuelled by taking on responsibility, managing schemes endâtoâend, and eventually leading multiple commercial teams running projects from ÂŁ5mâÂŁ30m. These days Iâm overseeing several projects, pushing best practice across teams including driving cost efficiency, contract compliance and risk mitigation.
I also spend a lot of time mentoring commercial staff, something I enjoy. But I didnât get here alone. Rob has backed me from day one, shaping my technical capability and people management. Other Directors have played a huge part in my development from understanding raw cost at pre-construction to HSEQ awareness. The structure and processes at Magrock have given me the space to grow, learn quickly, and take on challenges that pushed me to the next level.

I studied construction at Waterfront UTC and secured a work experience placement at Magrock through Flamur. At the end of that placement, I was excited to be offered a position as a Trainee Site Manager. My first position was in Ashford, where Nick played a key role in my early development, not only teaching me the fundamentals, but also helping to build my confidence. I was then further supported by Neil and Greg, whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in helping me progress and achieve my promotion to Site Manager in January 2026. As well as practical advice and guidance, my colleagues have created an environment where I have been able to learn, grow and take on new challenges in a rewarding way. With hard work, dedication, and the support from my colleagues I have achieved so much at Magrock, Iâm excited to see what the future brings.

Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, starting at Fitzpatrick as a Site Secretary and later at Readie running the office, I didnât hesitate when Richard asked me to join Magrock as the  Company Secretary. Starting a new business is challenging but David, Dean, Richard, and I all bought different skills to the business. While their focus was on what we could deliver, I led the day-to-day running of the business, which included setting up our internal systems and processes across HR, finance, IT and office management to support growth and ensure everything ran smoothly. As Magrock has grown, so has my role, progressing from Business Operations Director to Finance Director and joining the board. My 10-year journey shows whatâs possible here. At Magrock, potential is recognised, and there are real opportunities to grow and shape your career.

I completed Level 2 BTECs in Engineering and Construction, later achieving D*DD in my Level 3 qualifications and started a rotational degree apprenticeship in Construction Management, before joining Magrock as an Assistant Project Support Coordinator. This role gave me invaluable exposure across multiple departments and helped me build strong relationships with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. My next promotion was to Project Support Coordinator, overseeing three sites and contributing to a variety of schemes with strong BREEAM and CCS performance. I have since become a Fire Marshal and Mental Health First Aid trained and supported one of Magrockâs Safest Site Awards. More recently I transitioned into a Design Coordinator role, gaining exposure to Design Management, BREEAM and Sustainability, areas that have since become a key interest in my career. I am grateful for the support Iâve received across the business and am keen to continue developing my skills and contribute to strengthening Magrockâs sustainability ambitions.

I joined Magrock after completing my Construction Management degree. I started as a Trainee Site Manager on the Brentwood project. It was my first real introduction to site life and a great learning experience, from health & safety and environmental requirements to understanding how a project operates on the ground. My growth has come from handsâon site experience, being trusted with responsibility, and the support of the Site Managers, Engineers, and the Project Managers Iâve worked with. Being able to ask questions, learn from real situations, and work closely with experienced teams has been key to my development. My journey at Magrock has taken me from learning the basics to being actively involved in problemâsolving and decision-making on site, Iâm looking forward to continuing to grow with the company.

I joined Magrock as the businessâ first Design Manager, working closely with David, Bradley and Geoff to establish a formal design management process. This became Head of Design where I focused on building a fully-fledged design department, developing Magrock Standard Details, refining our Design Management Procedure, and expanding the team with the support of Richard. Since then, we strengthened our technical capabilities further with the addition of Aimee as our in-house BREEAM Assessor and Accredited Professional, and I also achieved my NVQ Level 7 and MCIOB designation with the companyâs support. More recently I have been promoted to Technical Director, I now work closely with the Bid Team during pre-construction while leading the wider Technical Department to ensure robust technical coverage across all live projects. I am grateful for the opportunities Magrock has provided me to progress and develop my career.
